eCognition

eCognition is an object-based image analysis software that can be tailored to specific users: forestry inventory, defense and security rapid response mapping, urban infrastructure planning, etc.  eCognition imports a variety of geospatial data such us raster images, LiDAR point clouds, GIS vectors, radar and hyperspectral data. It has the standard features of image processing software plus the eCognition Developer, used to develop rules for geospatial analysis processes: cloud detection, change detection, etc.  Algorithms can be combined for developing new applications.
